It was made by two kinds of clay(Duanni and lvni). Lvni is decorated outside the teapot. The textures and lines outside is so wonderful. We called them Taotie(name of a ferocious legendary animal)lines. They represent artist's sentiment to Qin quan teapot. Qin quan is symbol of rights and majesty. Tao tie lines are suitable for Qin quan teapot. The artist pays attention to details. The teapot looks exquisite.
Fen jiang (粉浆) craft, which existed in the Qing Dynasty, is a decorative technique. It is used fired clay, which is ground into powder after it is completely dried, and then mixed with a fixed proportion of water, finally paint outside or inside the teapots. We called "using clay to decorate with clay(以泥饰泥). Fen jiang craft can make teapot good visual effects and layering.
